In five years from now...

In five years from now I will have accomplished earning my bachelor's degree in economics. After graduating college, I hope to find a high paying job in the city as well as finding my own city apartment. Living and working in New York City has been something I've always dreamed of doing since I was much younger. After working for most or all of my 20's in the city, I hope to find my future wife so that we can get married and move back to Long Island, maybe even back to Smithtown.

Superstorm Sandy

When I think back to Sandy, I just remember how apocolyptic that time period felt. It was as if my whole life was on pause and nothing mattered. I was bored, cold, and in the dark for 11 days. Those 11 days were the longest days of my life. I would try to just sleep as often as I could just to pass the time. While the storm was happening, I had no idea that it would actually do so much damage to our area since having a full blown Hurricane is something that I never thought could happen on Long Island.

What is Your Favorite Genre of Music

My favorite genre of music is rock music (mainly from the 90's and early 2000's). This is my favorite genre of music because rock songs are produced with a lot more effort and meaning unlike other genres today that have songs that frequently aren't even written by the artist who sings it. Rock songs also don't nearly use as much studio editing as other genres of music do since every aspect of a rock song is performed live.

Favorite Things About Fall

Since we are well into November now, the effects of Fall are in full swing. The air is brisk and the trees nearly bare. Fall is by far my favorite season of the year. My favorite things about Fall are the weather, sweatshirts, football, and comfort food. Also, Fall unofficially marks the start of the holiday season, a season that includes my birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmastime. During this time, I feel as if everyone is happier and there is joyful atmosphere everywhere you go.

Halloween

My first memory of Halloween was when I was about 3 years old and I was superman. I actually spent that year trick-or-treating with my life-long friend Matt Onorato. Obviously, over the years my Halloween spirit has drastically decreased as I don't really dress up as anything anymore (although I tried to buy a Breaking Bad costume this year but it was sold out everywhere).

McDonalds will no longer use Heinz ketchup

I believe this to be a problem, obviously, for Heinz. They will lose tons of money from this contract being dropped. This was all due to the fact that the new CEO of Heinz is the former CEO of Burger King, which I believe is pretty immature on the part of McDonald's. If Bill Gates became CEO of Apple, I'm pretty sure Apple fans wouldn't stop buying Apple products.

Safe Halloween

Yes, I am participating in Safe Halloween this year with DECA. We will be running a bookmark creating station in the library as well as a mummy wrap event in the library.
